Soprano Maggie Burr is very active in Minneapolis with the Opera Reading Project, singing the roles of Miss Jessel (The Turn of the Screw), Barbarina (Le nozze di Figaro), and Despina (Così fan tutte). She has performed with St. Croix Valley Opera, Really Spicy Opera, Opera on the Lake, Theatre Elision, The Gilbert & Sullivan Very Light Opera Company, the Opera Artist Institute with Opera Steamboat, Pittsburgh Festival Opera, Skylark Opera, The Guthrie Theater, and Minnesota Opera. She is also co-founder and producer of Mystery Opera Theatre.
She has been the soprano section leader/soloist at Mindekirken Norwegian church since 2012.
Burr is a native of Canton, Michigan, and currently resides in Minneapolis. She completed her Bachelor of Music degree at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.
